A Fractured House Review

Okay, so the whole concept of this false-flag operation seems flawed. The problem is that it's not SHIELD itself that's the terrorist organization, it's Hydra. In this attack, Hydra is simply playing off people's inability to disassociate the two. Anyone who actually knows Coulson and SHIELD would realize that they would never carry out an attack like this. Unfortunately, not many people other than Talbot know the new SHIELD and those that knew the old SHIELD had their understanding turned on their head. During the attack, Talbot seemed genuinely surprised, and I think he got that this was actually Hydra.

Didn't they realize that a simple pair of handcuffs aren't going to hold a former level 7 SHIELD agent? He's been trained in escape and evasion, so he knows how to break out of restraints. Maybe they thought two armed guards and a locked door were going to hold him. However, all he has to do is beat up the guards and escape when they open the door. I supposed they could just wait until they were in a secure location with lots of back up to open the door. Grant's only one man, he can only deal with so many troops. Judging by this week's promo clip, it looks like they didn't make it back to a secure holding facility before he escaped.

I'm really not sure who to believe on the whole Grant/Christian abuse thing. On one hand, Grant says Christian made him do it and on the other, Christian said Grant did it and made him take the blame. Grant could be lying to make himself seem the victim and get Skye to trust him. Christian could be lying to make his brother sound like the monster so he seems like an honorable man. Grant wants to get to Skye so she can help him escape, while nobody is going to re-elect a Senator who's a known child abuser.
