Hibbing 911 Review

I didn't even realize this was vampires at first. Even after Jody said they were vamps, I just thought she was inexperienced and this was something worse. The main problem was that vampires don't normally eat people like that. Most of them just a suck a person dry. The second thing was that I actually forgot what vampire fangs looked like in this show. When the Sheriff bared his fangs, it looked like there were too many of them. I wasn't until the boys pretty much confirmed it that I believed it was vampires.

Do angel blades actually work against all kinds of monsters? Cas mentioned in season 8 that they worked on demons as well, and the brothers used one on a reaper early on in season 9. Given that angels can smite almost anything and the blades are an extension of their power, it seems that the blades ought to be able to kill anything (except maybe a Leviathan). So that raises the question of why the brothers haven't been using them on all their recent monster hunts. It sure seems easier to stab someone with blade than to swipe their head clean off. Maybe the writers don't want a deus ex machina that can kill anything.

I wasn't actually expecting to see Sheriff Donna again. I figured she would just be another throwaway character like the many others scattered across the past nine seasons. When I read the plot synopsis, I didn't actually recognize the name of the character (or actress) so I didn't realize it was someone who'd been on the show before. It wasn't until they released the promo content (I forget whether the pictures or trailer came first) that I realized it was the Sheriff from the health spa last season. I always have been better at remembering faces than names.
