Winter Soldier & Guardians of the Galaxy Shortlisted for Oscars

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science has shortlisted both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy for an Oscar nomination in Best Visual Effects. The other films in the running are Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Godzilla, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Interstellar, Maleficent, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Nominations will be revealed on January 15.
